Hector's picture
Presidential Candidate Barack Obama was spotted at 730 N Franklin. This guy is a rock star, people waited for 2+ hours just to catch a glimpse. We managed to get a video of the action, but the quality is not that great.
Check out the video, its insane!

37 Signals Live Q & A

rojo's picture
This is short notice, but 37 Signals is doing a Live Q & A Session today, Tuesday Aug 5th at 3pm. In short, 37 Signals is a dev co. from Chicago that builds web-based software. There most famous product is the Project Management tool "Basecamp." According to their blog they will be answering questions re: "entrepreneurship, business models, hiring, collaboration, design decisions, tech-related stuff, questions about our products, etc." Pretty nerdy neat. For those that can't listen, but would like to hear the show, I will try to record and post. In the meantime here are some links providing more info. Support your local technologist. Firefox Awesome Bar: truly awesome indeed

Brandon Moore's picture

To appease Sherita Whitaker, I recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox 3 onto my machine, replacing over a month of putting up with Internet Explorer on my vista OS.

I have been amazed first off by the speed of the browser, but the "Awesome bar" is so great, I figured it needed some attention on the vault.

Mozilla has created an address bar that not only connects you to a web address, but also queries popular search engines for matches to what you type.

Mozilla has also combined this with a history search engine that matches those words against sites you frequently visit.

For instance, if you were to install the browser, import your Internet Explorer history and begin typing the keyword in your site, say, howcanicstars, Firefox:

>looks for the web address in your history,
